How it all began

Our Story

How did we develop our Anti-Blister System™? It all started back in 1988 with a dad trying to help his son improve his sports performance. The son was suffering from blisters created by the back and forth motion required for running, quick manoeuvres and repetitive motions. The more his son practiced, the more blisters he got from the friction and chafing of his socks. That dad was Jerry Wrightenberry, a second-generation hosiery manufacturer. When he saw that the blisters were hindering his son Joey’s performance, he realised his son didn’t have the right equipment. So, Jerry developed a sock that would prevent the moisture and friction of loose fitting socks from creating blisters.

best hiking sock ever!

Tho I should have chosen the "quarter" rather than the "tab" style as latter cut below heel of my shoe. Have worn lots of hiking socks over the years - my wrightsocks are best for keeping my feet at comfortable temperature (orthotic makes them hotter) & dry, so dry! I like the close fit-to-shoe of thin socks but it has always been hard to get thin socks with the comfort, temperature & moisture wicking qualities I want. Wrightsocks definitely my top recommendation!

Pre walk review / coolmesh 11 steel grey

Purchased for upcoming camino in Spain. I’ve bought these because of the double layer - hoping there will be no blisters in May 2022.
Trying them on they feel soft and comfortable, and the toe section doesn’t have any bumps or ridges in the assembly that may give rise to friction in that area to create a blister. So at this point ., I will give 3 stars (only because) I haven’t Road tested them.

Excellent quality and I remain blister free

Highly recommend these socks as the quality is excellent and they are very comfortable to wear. I walk 10kms daily and I remain blister free due to the double layer which provides protection. My feet feel great during and after my walks. Thank you.

Heel changing!!

Seems crazy to be writing a rave review about socks but here we go: so I have always had issues since I was a kid with heel blisters breaking in new shoes. Painful.

Then as an adult with runners causing blisters on long walks. Not just new shoes but ALL the time.

I tried some so called blister proof socks and they were better then ordinary ones but the problem was still a potential one, as I found out more than once!

Taking a week off from walking gets old really quick so last time I was walking around with busted heels I went online and bought these.

Game changer!! I love them. Comfy. Great colours. Look good AND omg… no blisters!!
You know that’s exciting when you can walk 8 km without limping and calling your hubby to pick you up lol

So yes, buy these socks… buy a few pairs because they love your feet and you can live your life looking good and blister free.
