The Hike is part of our new ECO product line engineered with recycled yarns!  Made using Repreve® recycled polyester yarn and Recover RWool®, this exciting product is amazingly soft, comfortable, durable AND sustainable.  It’s a light cushion Double Layer sock and is designed for an outdoors performance fit.  Ideal 4 season hiking sock.

Nearly 2 plastic bottles used in each pair combined with Post Industrial wool scraps!

How it all began

Our Story

How did we develop our Anti-Blister System™? It all started back in 1988 with a dad trying to help his son improve his sports performance. The son was suffering from blisters created by the back and forth motion required for running, quick manoeuvres and repetitive motions. The more his son practiced, the more blisters he got from the friction and chafing of his socks. That dad was Jerry Wrightenberry, a second-generation hosiery manufacturer. When he saw that the blisters were hindering his son Joey’s performance, he realised his son didn’t have the right equipment. So, Jerry developed a sock that would prevent the moisture and friction of loose fitting socks from creating blisters.

Sox Thickness and Cost

I thought the sox was a little lightweight compared to "other" hiking sox that I have purchased ... also price was a little expensive ... otherwise all ok!!

Fabric feels comfortable and they are warmer than adventure sock. Great for the environment to use recycled fabric. Not as padded on the inside as adventure sock. Fabulous double layer sock that stops me getting blisters.

Very comfortable and breathable

I can't tell the difference from non-recycled plastic bottle socks. Quite warm despite their light weight. Would be nice to get a cooler version for use in a warm climate - like the old Lite sock.
